Chinese Prelims Paper One.

Like almost everyone, I did questions 2 and 5. Seems like most of our school is already caught up with writing 报章报道s lol. Wrote a whole bunch of crap for both papers since, my Chinese is kinda like t3h cRapzz. Spent half the time looking through the dictionary for words that I should know, the luxury and sudden realisation that I do have a dictionary next to me spoiled the monkey balls out of me.

Again. Ate one whole packet of NERDS before the paper was done lol. After sugar rushing, I calmed down right, then. I got a freaking stomachache lol, I think it must have reacted with the Milo in the morning (not the best combination) and I felt like I had a freaking knife piercing throught my abdomen. Had some weird test after that was seriously SERIOUSLY weird. Asked weird common sense questions and they call it some science paper haha. Multiple choice all the way so even if I did not know how to do it, reverse the thing, work backwards. If only all our tests are like that.... BUT we wont get our method marks!!! Like it really matters - . -

Doing my Physics right now, confused about almost everything, did some TYS stuff. Gonna revise this before doing the customary Holding-Of-My-Geography-Textbook-And-Spend-3- Hours-Looking-At-2-Pages thing. Come to think of it. Teachers at Maris Stella tend to think that we have the memory banks the size of the mificking Milky Way and expect us to smoke our way through the SEQS..... I prefer LORMS myself lol

Well obviously I have to get some things out of the way.

Tomorrow's the 29th of April so, any self-respecting gamer would be jumping out of their pants in eager anticipation of Grand Theft Auto IV. Me, not so much. Been caught up with my work and seriously gonna miss the intensive week that normally follows a release of a Grand Theft Auto game. Guess this trend is gonna carry on for the entirety of 2008. Spore is going to be released in September and I will be caught up in the 'O' Levels. Still remembering the time last year when I got the Orange Box, played till 5 in the morning, slept an hour and went for another marathon. Ahhh. Good times.

Oh Yeah. As far as I know. IGN and 1UP gave GTAIV perfect scores. Just WoW.

I screwed my English Paper 2!!!!! Totally read the passage wrongly and actually describe the word hubris wrongly! Instead of arrogance I put heresy. Stupid misintepration of text...... I mean, both are outrageous but my answer was just fucked up.

I spent like an hour on my summary lol. First draft over, it was 183 words. Cut it down to 149, don't know how but I realised I am rather long winded when writing stuff. Which is true, in a sad way. I attribue my poor performance to no NERDS! today. Seriously.

Sports Day Today

Stuff like this should happen.

Prelim 1 has finally began. Not really, on paper it has but having one English paper hardly brings any excitement. That being said I think I made my first of many screw-ups. Did not write my question number, totally forgot about it, though I started the paper with the question........ *crosses fingers*

After school went home, Jia Hao came over to eat KFC. Took a bus to Hougang stadium. Thought we were early since we arrived more than half an hour before but the stadium was already overflowing with little kiddies from the primary school.

The place was pretty much bursting and there was hardly enought space to walk around in the stands. Had to walked past and stepped on many people's stuff haha. Qi Quan was able to move rather nimbly throught the crowd while I was left stumbling through everything -.-

After that, spent almost the entire time playing PSPs and DSs lol. Played Mario Kart DS with Jin Yong, Andre L and SS. I kinda thrashed them but not always for some reason, actually that some reason is when a primary school kid either knocks the DS out of my hand for a moment or stepping on my feet. They are kinda rude on a whole and I had to keep telling myself to 忍 and tell myself that they are just kids.

Went for my 2.4 km run today. Crap la. Had a stomachache before the thing and ran with stitches all the way. Timing pretty crappy too, only 12 minutes and 36 seconds sian. I don't even know if I got a C or a D. If I got a D I can say goodbye to my gold liao. It's kinda like that every year, one item that makes or breaks it. Last year was my effed up pull-up this year, 2.4 km run. WHY!!!! 16 like 5 days ago......

Rained in the morning, rain poured down like a pipe bursting overhead, walked from the bus 100 bus-stop all the way up to school. Seems like the entire Upper Aljunied Road was jammed up and the roads were beginning to flood. What a drainage system. Even with the huge umbrella I took from my Dad's car, I was drenched from the knee down. Which, in hindsight, wasn't really that bad, as compared to some people I saw walking up, without a bloody umbrella lol.

Arggh. Screwed up my E Maths test lol. Keep seeing wrong value and stupidly drew the graph wrongly!!! Damn.

Geog GEP after school. Went to Mac with Keith, Nich Liaw, Jia Hao, Mark Koh and Jared. Too much time before GEP started. 2 and a half hours la. Luckily the buses came fast so there wasn't much downtime haha

Argh. Learning Geog is hard as hell. Lazy enough not to write my own notes. Too many numbers to remember and my non-memorising mind is unable to absorb all the details, going to remember the points and start putting random stuff as evidence. YaY.

School was normal, 'cept tat it was kinda slacky since the Chinese Teacher wasn't here. Finally decided to clear the pile of notes of my table, bring them home and file them up, which I kind of did the first part, but failing terribly at the second one. Anyway, realise that my chem notes need hella lot more organisation and my Electromagnetism OMG is so scrweed........ Yes. Scrweed.

Felt like sleeping today, not really anything but feeling freaking tired. Not really hurting much siince there was not much stuff we had to memorise so. Yeah. Don't know why I did not take a nap when I got back hmm. Stupid Geog.

Come to think of it, with the passing of my birthday a few days back, it's dawned on me that it was kind of like a beacon of light in the journey to the 'O' Levels. Realised that many of my friends have already got a head-start in this so I guess I will have to keep up. Final Rev. It's only 6 more months to go. And it keeps getting scarier.

Taking small steps at a time before plunging into mugging territory ATM. No use diving head-first too fast and get lost in the sea. Next target would be the Chinese 'O' Level papers starting 26th May, which is a little over a month away. Have never really been strong in Chinese and have always relied on Paper 2 for my 'A's.................. Screwing that up would seriously mean treading F9 territory(totally now exaggerating) So, I guess starting to read Chinese Newspapers would not be too out of order. No matter how much I have to stare at a dictionary.......

To assuage my nervousness and overcome my anxiety, decided to spend less time doing stupid stuff and, you know, actually studying. Told myself this a lot of times before but I guess, I better get to it. Can't lose to some people or I would embarrass the hell out of me.

Nothing much in school today

Sat at the porch for one and a half hours after school while waiting for oral. Turns out we were the last class taking the Chinese Oral and even being one of the first few index number wise, I was the last wave to go in.

Quite a lot of stuff to talk about while waiting for the Chinese Oral. On the whole, we were just talking about the storyline, plot and characters if we were to make a play based on Maris Stella's Superhero ForeHeadMan(FHM) I have a feeling it started as a joke somewhere and continued to snowball until it's already becoming kinda vivid when I am thinking it in my head haha. Lots of weird stuff to discuss like what powers he would have, how he got them, what happened between the transition from ForeHeadBoy to ForeHeadMan blah blah blah. Hardest thing we had to decide was his catchphrase, a variation of "ITBLINDSME" becoming "IBLINDYOU". Doesn't sound SS at all - . -

Well. I now know that buses are screwy.

School was supposed to start later because of the late night most of the school experienced last night. 1120 was supposed to be the time we had to report. Woke up at 0948 (clock) surfed the net for a while. Left the house at around 1030..... Took a bus to the main road. Waited for 15 minutes. Took 22 since I was running a little late. There was a jam at Ubi, around my old primary school. By the time I reached Bartley. It was already 1130. Which is funny and stupid at the same time. Luckily, a bus turning into school was faster than it usually was so I just took it up. Rushed up to the last floor - Obviously I was late. Was the last one even. Turns out Jia Hao was the only one "ill" and eveyone else came lol. *shocking(really)*

School was really, REALLY slacky lol. Must have been the aftermath of a concert and the fact that everyone was not in the mood for studying after last night's stuff. Came in during Chinese lesson and was sweating incessantly thorughout the lesson, worked my way through an entire packet of tissue papers lol. Next was SS, standard stuff. English lesson was as usual fun, since I had finished my work yesterday, talked some crap about the Concert and spent the rest of the period talking about Justin and company going to OCH last night.

Did I mention I did not bring Eisenhorn yesterday?

After school, went for NAPFA Test which I think I screwed up. Started with Standing Broad Jump. Screwed that up as usual, only jumped 226 which only means a C........ Sit and Reach was easy though I didn't do as good as I should have. Next was Sit-up....... Again...... Every year, I rush to do 43. Then stand up and stretch, slower than last year I guess. Last year I did the 43 in like 30 seconds? This year, there was like 20 seconds left. NOOOOOOO. Did Shuttle-Run after. Ran slower like hell due to a sprained ankle. ARRGGHH. Waited for Pull-Up for a long time. Did better than usual for some reason.

Standard school stuff. The class got absolutely slaughtered by the A Maths mock test lol, this is what we get for not studying for the thing at all I guess. 3 periods of maths, supposedly the same standard as the prelims. Worries me. Worries me a lot.

After school, went home. Played a proper round of Team Fortress 2 with Clinton. I kept getting top 3 but the defending team kept losing at the end due to some stupid confusion. Got over a 100 points and I hardly ever died so, it's a good thing I guess. Around 4, bathed and headed to Eunos MRT to meet Jia Hao. Took a MRT to City Hall. Met with some of other classmates.

Funny thing happened on the way from City Hall Interchange to Suntec lol. Biggest WTF moment ever. While walking, some person just went up to me and started asking some questions. Thinking it was a survey or something, might as well humour them. Turns out the person was the one who was gonna humour me lol. She asked if I am Singaporean, then asked how old I was, no link-edly, she asked if I wanted to be a model - . -. Okay. You had to be there. Funny as shit.

Went to Fish and Co. Waited for SS and company for a freaking long time. Turns out, 'company' turned out to be a lot more than we expected. A lot more. Anywho, ate Fish and Chips. Fish only as usual since I seem to have a problem eating fries.

Walked to the Esplanade. Then, we started running. Damn, did not sweat at all until we started running...................... Anyway concert started. Drama was first, pretty awkward with lots of in jokes and "light" jokes haha. Band was next and after that CO. Sang the school song after which I could only hear the "HEY" part.

Came home. It's freaking 23:20

Day 1 of 10 Days

Starting of any day with Chinese is instant phail, Monday blues plus drilling of Chinese stuff into my head, really makes me wanna fall asleep. Never really was good in Chinese, comparing with my peers I am, at best, a little above average, Paper 2 is fine though just that, Paper 1 and Paper 3 are monumentally screwed. For obvious reasons.

Wanted to read Eisenhorn during English, since my group had finished the comprehension early, I did manage to read a little bit, all 6 pages sank in before I got bored and started to talk with my friends haha. Settled some stuff for tomorrow, talked about weird stuff people do and Jared and his........ English..... Wakes us up

Finally passed an EMaths test well, 20/25..... Could have gotten full marks but, as usual, my superhuman power of seeing questions well screwed me over. Again.

Physics was kinda taxing, after assembly, after lunch, with the afternoon sun beating crazily, it was not the most ideal of places and the greatest of times to study. Understood some stuff, screwed some stuff over. Zoned by the time I came home.

Took a bus to Parkway since my Dad's not in Singapore. Read more of Eisenhorn, seems pretty thick lol and the words are small, so............ Damn. In a good way.

After tuition, wanted to eat Sushi Tei, has become a family thing since 2 years ago since for some reason we always wind up at Paragon every week...... Since we were in the East we decided hey, why not go to the one at the Big Splash. Dawned on us that East Coast was horrible fucked in the parking department in the evening, luckily we realised this before we turned in and consequently went along the ECP to the city lol.

Parking was not as bad as last time I guess :D

There was totally no studying this Saturday, studying as in studying, not work done.

Woke up early, it was frigging cold in my room. Went to school for the Physics Mock Exam, I guess I was kinda late, seeing as like, almost everyone was already there. Drank like 3 cups of 100 Plus before going in. The test was decent I guess, 'cept for one question that asked us to explain what's the phenomenon going on. Didn't know, so I wrote something along the lines of "If a phenomenon can be explained,it's not a phenomenon." Or something like that, basically give that 4 marks away haha.

Stayed till lunch with the Campcraft Team, played "zhong ji mi ma" game where whoever lost had to eat some weird concoction, tio one time. Jermaine kena twice lol, the curry was ghey. After lunch, watched our pitches for the Prelims and Finals. Watching the video, it was real funny and sad at the same time. ESPECIALLY JERMAINE 3 poses HAHA. Makes you think about all those months spent training haha.

Had the parade after that, went to HTA, nothing much, perspired the entire way through. Bus to Potong Pasir, realised that my shirt was missing....... Borrowed from Yee Ping haha

Ate steamboat with some of my squadmates while both of our resident Vegeboys watched lol.

Finally a sequel that isn't an expansion pack. Looks great at the moment, though the character models are a little too plastic, of course. It's still in developments so here's to keeping my hopes up!

Had to go to school on my own today, kinda woke up a little to late. Left the house, took bus 22 'cause it came first. On the way, saw a bus 28 behind 22. So I got off the bus hoping to get on the bus 28. It just kept going and I was left stranded on an empty bus stop and waited for nearly 15 minutes for the next bus. Almost late today as a result - . - Perspired like crap again today. Dunno why, it was dark and cooling but I sweated it out more than yesterday. Something's wrong. Good news is that if I were to ever go through weight management. Way beyond easy to lose my water weight.

Went for heats today again haha. Got another 2nd for Shotput lost to Jared again. Tried out Discus for fun and I got 4th, which doesn't equate to nothing haha. After heats, ate Mac, dunno why, felt freaking bloated after dinner. Too much water haha

I have kinda got over the pain in my elbow and my thighs. To keep in line with the screwing my body up. I now have a sprained ankle, nothing serious or anything. Just screwy to the power of 6

First time I actually got called into the classroom for excessive sweating. Regarding the issue of perspiring like (phrase that describes rain) nothing really much, been like that since Sec 1. Not really an issue except that since I am in the NPCC, I have to stand still during morning assembly in my formative years. Nearing the "hot" period of March and April, it has already become such a normality that I don't really care for it much anymore. Still damn funny when the teacher said that I looked pale and like I wanted to faint, which probably looked like it since my knees buckled while I was playing Tetris in my head and zoning out during morning assembly. Hm. Lack of focus

My first afternoon that I am actually free on in such a long time and what better way to spend it then to drink copious amounts of milk and doing Maths hahahahaha. Seriously though, I am finding it kinda weird. Half a year has passed. The unit is going to stand down for MYEs soon. And I haven't really studied yet! ! !

Have to brush up on my SS and..... You know.... Actually bother to remember the points in there.. I hate Globalisation.

I don't really know why. Felt like a Jin Yong today. Minus the gay. Basically I was feeling damn bloody lethargic. Basically I felt that everyone else's shoulder was a soft fluffy pillow(Hence the minus the gay part at the start) Basically I wanted to slow-blink my way through the lessons. Went for sports heats after school so I couldn't wear my Full U. Which might be actually good as ( a) I was not getting promoted ( b ) I don't wanna get suanned about the whole marksman issue...........Went for Javelin. Got 2nd........ T'was to be first until some guy came at the end and totally beat me by one foot. Every time there's a prize. Always a runner up. So Feng Shui is really REALLY TRUE!!!

Seems like a horrible lead up to everything. Current list of illnesses and injuries on me right now: Some horrible sore throat that makes my throat feel like it's on fire. The aforementioned dreadfully piss ass pain in my thighs. Add that to the fact that just today, while trying to execute a flurry of punches...... I kinda slammed my elbow onto the wall... So it's really hurtin like a bitch right now. And...... I kinda fell down on the exact same spot after my legs gave out unceremoniously....... Accident Prone.....

Series of Unfortunate Events. Oh yeah the lead up to. Going to have English Oral for Prelim 1s tomorrow so having your throat inflamed isn't exactly the best thing to have......And with the bruises exactly on my elbow joint.......... Doing Pull-Ups is gonna be more crappy......... Hopefully with a week up till then. Good stuff will happen haha

Finally got a better than decent score for an A Maths exam haha. Only my 2nd base test passed so far. Which is kinda worrying. Didn't even pass one last year. So far, only over the fence with the F-Trigo stuff and now, a 24.5/25 which the 1/2 mark, as always...... Goes off for stupid reasons - . -

Had some kooky relaxation session with the class with the counsellor today. Kinda went well. Kinda quiet(for the most part) until....... HAHAHA the counsellor then said.
FEEL THE ENERRGY FLOW THROUGH YOUR EYES, YOUR NOSE YOUR FOREHEAD!!!!!!! I think the whole class just broke out into fits of uncontrollable laughter hahaHAHAHhahahahaLULZLOLBUAHAHAHASHINY!!!!

In retrospect maybe we didn't really do that badly haha.
Seeing as we totally stopped training after the Preliminary Rounds and the inactivity continuing up to the week leading up to the Finals itself. Taking into account that we took a day or two to remember what we had to do. We probably only had 3 or 4 days to train, 15 pitches at most. And we got 3rd. Maybe. It wasn't that bad. Maybe. Great Job Team.

On to other stuff......

Both my thighs are hurting like a bitch right now. In hindsight, it probably was a fucking bad idea to do like 80 standing broad jumps on Friday.... In addition to the tuck-jumping and trying to beat my previous score of 60 cm for Sit and Reach - . - All and I wasn't even going to take my 5 items test on that day haha.

Hurts to walk up the stairs, walk down the stairs. Stand up from sitting position. Sit down from standing position. Shifting the chair. Tying my shoelaces. The list could go on and on. Never really felt like this before so it's a little worrying. My body is finally taking it's revenge on me not training my lower body. At all.

Had a crazy round of TF2 today. Finally played a round with Clinton though he left shortly after I joined when the team was doing very badly. However, When I came, we had to defend the last point of Dustbowl for 20 minutes. Which I thought was impossible, so I turned medic and actually managed to rise from the bottom to the top with 70+ points lol. We lost when we had to go for 3 minutes more after the enemy got their act together and started to uber rush us..... Not bad for a crappy team. 70 + points and only 6 deaths

We could have done better. We could have done worse. What matters most is that we tried out best I guess...... Somehow. The weight of third place does not feel as heavy as it should, if only we were first. But it's okay. At least we got the bigger trophy......
